This year’s Super Bowl halftime show was headlined by rapper Kendrick Lamar in New Orleans.

Lamar is one of hip-hop’s most celebrated artists, and his performance came a week after he won five Grammy Awards, including song and record of the year for his hit “Not Like Us.”

He made his debut on the Super Bowl halftime show stage in 2022 when he performed alongside Eminem, Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Mary J. Blige and 50 Cent.

This year he was joined on stage by special guest SZA.

Lamar performed his Grammy-winning Drake diss “Not Like Us” during the show. After teasing it several times throughout his performance — playing snippets of the song’s beat without going into his verse —<a href="https://www.cnn.com/sport/live-news/super-bowl-chiefs-eagles-02-09-25#cm6ydrwcu002a3b6n055m2c5w"> the rapper began the hit song in earnest</a> and received a roar of approval from the crowd.
