'What is the crime that I committed?': Former Philippine President reacts to being taken into custody
In video posted by his daughter, former Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte questions his detainment after the International Criminal Court (ICC) issued a warrant for his arrest, according to the Philippine government. Duterte was taken into custody on March 11 for alleged crimes against humanity. He has been investigated by the ICC over the anti-drugs crackdown orchestrated during his time in office, which killed more than 6,000 people, a figure based on police data, although independent monitors believe the number of extrajudicial killings could be much higher. CNN has reached out to Interpol and the ICC for comment.
