The process of choosing a pope, also known as “conclave,” is a combination of ancient tradition, religious ritual and politics. The voting takes places behind closed doors and only a small, select group has a say in the decision. CNN Vatican Correspondent Christopher Lamb explains how the new pope will be elected.
