Former judge answers questions about Trump's directive to release 'pertinent' testimony in Epstein case

After a Wall Street Journal report on the relationship between President Donald Trump and Jeffrey Epstein, the president is now asking his attorney general to release any "pertinent" grand jury testimony from the case. Former federal judge Shira Scheindlin joined the NewsNight table and answered questions about what could actually come from Trump’s request.

The Senate passed Trump’s so-called “big, beautiful bill” after a 26-hour marathon of negotiations during which Alaska Senator Lisa Murkowski, as she put it later, “struggled mightily” to soften the biggest funding blows to her state before ultimately casting a vote that guaranteed its passage.
