Tens of thousands of staffers at the Department of Homeland Security received back pay this month after President Donald Trump ordered the agency to compensate employees using a special fund amid the partial government shutdown.

But now that fund is running out of money. DHS Secretary Markwayne Mullin said he won’t be able to pay staffers after this month.
